Executive Team


Joseph C. Ott, President
Joe is a cofounder of ASI and has served as president since its inception in 1989. Prior to ASI, Joe founded Ecco Consulting in 1964 and served as its president until 1989. During that time, Joe had bottom line responsibility for over 100 system projects delivering turnkey systems to municipal governments and Fortune 500 clients. From 1999 to 2004, Joe served as Board President of Achieva, formerly ARC Allegheny, a $35 million non-profit organization that provides services to over 7,000 persons with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities.

James S. Senge, Chief Executive Officer
Jim has over 25 years of progressively increasing responsibilities at ASI. Jim served as project manager for the original design team that developed the LuminX system. In 1995, Jim was appointed Vice President of Operations; in 2001, he was appointed CEO. Under Jim’s guidance, ASI has emerged as the technology leader in the benefit management software industry. Prior to ASI, Jim was employed by Ecco Consulting from 1979 to 1989 where he was responsible for the development of custom systems for Fortune 500 companies. Jim is an active alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence.

Susan F. Pastroff, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Sue was the chief architect for the LuminX system. She has over 40 years of computer systems design experience with ASI and, previously, Ecco Consulting. As ASI’s CIO, she manages the design team that is responsible for on-going research and development. Sue came to ASI from Ecco, where from 1965 to 1989 she was a systems analyst specializing in the design of systems for hospitals, nursing homes, physician practices and local governments. In 1981, Sue was appointed Vice President of Ecco. Sue and her family are, perhaps, the University of Michigan’s most avid alumni.

Mark A. Brown, Vice President of Sales
Mark has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and product management in the computer industry. Mark joined ASI in 1989 and was appointed Vice President of Sales in 1995. Prior to 1989, Mark was a Managing Partner responsible for developing market strategies for Best Executive Marketing (BEM), a national computer-oriented executive placement firm. He has also been a product manager for ATV Systems, a vendor of specialized systems for the hospitality industry. Mark is an active member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Rotary International.

Robert M. Rokicki, Chief Financial Officer
Bob has 20 years of financial and technical experience in the healthcare industry. As CFO, he oversees ASI’s finance, legal, administrative and HR functions. Bob came to ASI in 2001 from the Coordinated Group of Companies (CGC), our original administrator partner in the development of the LuminX system. He served on the original system design team, representing the TPA’s point of view. As a former client, Bob brings a wealth of practical experience to the TPA industry that we serve. He is an active trustee of Achieva (formerly ARC Allegheny), a non-profit organization that promotes the rights of persons and their families with disabilities.
